Missionary Trip Saltillo, Mexico

To save some money some people from the group deciated to fly to the
boarder of Mexico and take a bus the rest of the way to Saltillo...
something I would never do again (LOL) unless I am saving thousands of
dollars... :)
We arrived and Marc Sankey was waiting for us. We arrived at their house where
Melody and their three kids were waiting for us. Half of the group stayed
at the Stetlers house and the other half stayed at the parsonage of the church the girls were going to paint.

we actually worked so hard that we finished painting everything
we needed to paint at the church and they had to find
extra work for us to do ;) so we even painted some benches

we also painted the two walls outside.

One of the other things we did was pack over 100 bags with
different kinds of medicines to pass out the day we set up the clinic

The next day we set up the clinic at a church about 3 hrs away from where we
were staying. We had different stations where people were able to
get their vitals taken and then be able to see
a nurse for questions.

Jackie was our nurse and Chris was able
to translate for her.

We were getting ready to close everything up
and this lady came with about 5 kids and was
so happy that she was able to get some medicines
and advice for her kids

The day we were getting all our baggies ready
the guys went to anotehr villige and helped
with contruction there. Here is the pictures before

here is the pictures after....!!

Sunday we had a service where Marc and Melodie attend, we all sang
a special and had a great service.

After church we all had dinner together

free Day!
Our last day in Mexico was our free day. Mark and Melodie took
us to the market places where we got some souveneirs to remember our trip.

We also went to a "taqueria" which they sell all different types of tacos
and it was very very good.... I wish I could have some right now...

I order beef tacos with cheesse.. the only bad thing
about it is that they were very greasy and
I wanted more... :)

We also went site seeing and Mexico has
some very pretty buildings.. .

I love this church, we actually got to go in it and they where having
service so we didnt' stay very long but the church was beautiful

I loved the way this building looked so I wanted
to take pictures of it.

We went up to a place where you have the highst
view of the City of Saltillo!

My first missionary trip was a great experice and I am so thankful God gave
me the oportunity to go to Mexico. I would love to be able to go
back some day there or anywhere else God might open the doors for me to go.
My other wish is to be able to go on a missions trip with Tim ;)
